About us

Care that starts with friendship

Hope and Friends was founded on a simple belief: that everyone deserves a warm, consistent presence in their life — not just those who qualify for formal care.

Why we exist

We started Hope and Friends because we saw a gap. There are millions of people in the UK who don't need clinical care — but who are lonely, overwhelmed, or struggling with the everyday tasks that most of us take for granted. They fall through the cracks of a system designed for medical need, not human connection.

So we built something different. A service that shows up as a friend first. That listens before it acts. That adapts to the person, not the other way around. We work with lonely individuals, people with neurodivergent conditions, and anyone who simply needs a steady, caring presence alongside them.

We are not CQC registered — and that's intentional. We provide companionship, practical, and social support. Not nursing, not personal care. Just genuine, human connection and practical help, delivered with warmth and consistency.

What we believe

Our values

Friendship first

We show up as a friend, not a service provider. Every interaction is warm, genuine, and built on real relationship.

Holistic by nature

We look at the whole person — their routines, their needs, their preferences — and build support around them.

Consistency matters

We believe in showing up reliably. The same face, the same warmth, every time.

No judgement, ever

Whether you're neurodivergent, lonely, or just going through a hard patch — you'll find nothing but patience and understanding here.

What 'non-CQC' means for you

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates services that provide personal or medical care. Hope and Friends does not provide personal or medical care — we provide companionship, practical support, and social connection. This means we are not CQC registered, and we are not a substitute for clinical or nursing care. What we offer is something different: a warm, consistent human presence for people who need it.
